- Steel that has corroded right through
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Bath re-enamelling in Ewloe, done in place
The bath stays where it is, so your taps, tiles and plumbing are left alone. Most baths are done in one visit, with the bath ready to use the following day. We’re frequently asked to fix a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean and staining under the taps and around the waste, across acrylic baths, pressed steel baths and cast iron baths.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Should you replace it?
A replacement frequently means several trades over several days. Resurfacing takes one technician and generally a day. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Prices start from £350. We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- How much damage there is
- What kind of damage it is
- Access to the area
- How many items we do on one visit
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.
Getting a price from photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- One picture of the entire bath
- Details of any past repairs
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can give you a fixed quote.
How to care for the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Do not leave a chip unrepaired
- Repair dripping taps early
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
