What bath re-enamelling costs

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • The material and finish
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How much damage there is

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

How we handle bath re-enamelling in Finney Green

When a bath is structurally fine but worn out on the surface, resurfacing is normally the best value. It avoids removal, plumbing and re-tiling. We regularly repair pressed steel baths, acrylic baths and basins & shower trays, and people most often call us about a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean and wear marks under the taps.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Staffordshire.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

Landlord and trade work in Finney Green

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Why repair rather than replace?

A refit takes several trades and several days. Re-enamelling takes one technician and usually one day, and the bath can be used the day after. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

What you get with us

  • Holes rusted through the metal
  • An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
  • Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber

  • Acrylic baths

How it works

We turn up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes the best part of a day, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
  3. The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
  4. Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
  5. We leave it to cure, and it’s usually ready the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

How to get a price

How to care for the repair

Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:

  • Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs right away
  • Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • Avoid suction-cup mats
  • Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured

Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.

On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading, and each one adds to the preparation. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.

Repairs by material

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
