Bath re-enamelling in Keeper's Corner, done in place
Re-enamelling gives a worn bath a new glossy surface without a refit. It suits baths that are dull, stained, rough or chipped all over. We’re frequently asked to fix a coating lifting around the plughole and several chips and rust patches, on acrylic baths, cast iron baths and pressed steel baths.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking.

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Keeper's Corner?
Sometimes it’s an earlier resurfacing that has failed, peeling around the waste or bubbling. We strip what’s failing and start again.
Look out for any of the following:
- Brown or grey marks that don’t clean off
- Wear marks under the taps
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
- A roll-top that is seen better days

Questions from Keeper's Corner
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Do you work in Keeper's Corner?
We do. We send a technician to Keeper's Corner for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes, white is the usual choice. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.
Do you do work for letting agents?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Is there any odour?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Landlord and trade work in Keeper's Corner
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
How to care for the repair
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs immediately
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Fix dripping taps quickly
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Fix dripping taps quickly.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:
- How much damage there is
- The material
- What kind of damage it is
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.
Getting a price from pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Most clients in Keeper's Corner get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Should you replace it?
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is usually much cheaper than replacing it, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s much quicker too. Prices start from £350. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Keeper's Corner. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we check it carefully.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
How it works
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take most of the day.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Let us know about parking or access
