Bath re-enamelling in Listoft without replacing anything
If your bath is sound but looks tired, resurfacing is normally the best value. It avoids removal, plumbing and re-tiling. Our repair technicians work on cast iron baths, acrylic baths and basins & shower trays, and people most often call us about a roll-top that’s seen better days and an outdated colour you’d like to change.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Keeping it looking good
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs immediately
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Never use suction bath mats
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Fix dripping taps quickly.
The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and rust spots spread under the surface. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.

How we price bath re-enamelling
Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Listoft. The price reflects:
- The colour and finish to match
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The type of damage
- Access to the area
There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed price
You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.
DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

Repair or replace: which is better?
A new bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing renews the whole surface without moving it. Prices start from £350. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Why us?
- No extra charge for your area
- A fixed quote before you book
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

The process
Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your pictures first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a full day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures.
Getting ready for the visit
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Clear the area around the damage
Ask for a price
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Will there be fumes?
