Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing in Morden, Greater London
Problem with your bath in Morden? We repair it in place, mix the colour on the day and back it with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Lots of chips and rust spots
- A coating lifting around the plughole

How we handle bath re-enamelling in Morden
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. Whether it’s a coloured bath you want in white and lots of chips and rust spots, we can help, whatever the material.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will sort it.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
For landlords and businesses
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Morden use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, once any rust has been treated. Steel frequently rusts by the plughole, so we check it carefully.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
When to call us in Morden
Enamel doesn’t fail overnight. Abrasive cleaners, limescale and years of use wear the gloss away, normally first under the taps and around the waste.
Keep an eye out for these signs:
- A coloured bath you want in white
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
- Worn patches where water runs and sits

- Whether they match the colour on site
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included

Morden: your questions answered
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.
What information do you need?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire bath and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
Can a failed resurfacing be redone?
Generally, yes. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Mention it when you send pictures.
Can you quote from pictures?
Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Yes, we frequently do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Resurfacing from £350. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
- Never use suction bath mats
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, so limescale cannot build up.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further.
What we can’t put right
Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:
- Holes rusted through the metal
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Why repair rather than replace?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Nothing else is disturbed. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
