How we handle bath re-enamelling in Newland Green
We re-enamel plenty of period and roll-top baths, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. We work on Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and basins & shower trays, and the jobs we see most are an outdated colour you’d like to change and several chips and rust patches.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Kent.

What we do, step by step
Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take most of the day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Let us know about parking or access
- Make sure the area is dry
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Getting a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

What we cannot put right
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- Problems we cannot see until an old finish comes off
- Steel that has corroded right through
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
FAQs for Newland Green
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you’ll get one combined price.
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
In most cases. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Does the bath have to be removed?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so the tiles and taps stay put.
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide, so Newland Green is covered. Prices don’t change with location.
Will the new finish last?
That depends on preparation and how the bath is treated. Properly prepared and looked after, it lasts well, and our work is guaranteed for a year.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material
- Doing more than one item at once
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Send photos for a quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Any details about the material
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Repairs by material
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
How to care for the repair
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and do not leave bottles or razors standing on the surface.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Water gets under it and the damage spreads, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
Repair or replace: which is better?
A new bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing renews the whole surface with the bath left where it is. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
