What affects the price in Panbride
Prices start from £350. There is no area surcharge for Panbride. The price reflects:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether we combine several jobs
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- A picture taken from further back
- Details of any past repairs
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
For a price in Panbride, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Bath re-enamelling in Panbride, done in place
Most baths are re-enamelled in a day, with the bath ready to use the following day. Nothing is disconnected or removed. We are often asked to fix a coating lifting around the plughole and several chips and rust patches, across acrylic baths, Victorian roll-tops and cast iron baths.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Panbride as everywhere else we work.

Repair or replace in Panbride?
A replacement frequently means several trades over several days. Resurfacing takes one technician and typically a day, with the bath back in use the following day. Prices start from £350. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

How the visit works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take the best part of a day, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the bath is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Clear the area around the damage
Getting a price
Send us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in Panbride, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Aftercare tips
Nothing complicated is needed:
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, especially in hard water areas, so limescale cannot build up.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time, and each one adds to the preparation. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.

FAQs for Panbride
What do you need from me?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will take it from there.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
Is there any odour?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
Is there a smell?
There is some smell while the coating is applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the finish cures.
How quickly can you book me in?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
How long will the bath be out of use?
Typically a day, then it’s ready to use the following day. A badly pitted bath can need a second day.
Can you price it without visiting?
Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Repairs by material
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Honest limits
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
- A bath that is rusted through
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
Materials we work on in Panbride
