Need bath re-enamelling in Queenslie?

When we would advise against a repair

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:

  • An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
  • A bath that is rusted through
  • Leaks from fittings rather than the bath

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Cast iron baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops

About our bath re-enamelling in Queenslie

A re-enamelled bath looks and feels like a new one, but without the cost and upheaval of a refit. It suits anyone happy with the bathroom apart from the bath. Typical jobs include brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and a bath in a colour that no longer suits, on pressed steel baths, basins & shower trays and acrylic baths.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and usually a day, with the bath back in use the next day. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Roll-top and period baths

Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Landlord and trade work in Queenslie

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Queenslie as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

What bath re-enamelling costs

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How much damage there is
  • What the surface is made of
  • Access to the area

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

Phone photos are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote.

Common questions in Queenslie

Can you resurface a pink bath in white?

Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

Will the bath be moved?

Not at all. We work on the bath in place, with the room masked and ventilated.

Does re-enamelling smell?

Yes, while we are applying the finish. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.

How soon can you come?

We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Queenslie.

Do you cover Queenslie?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Queenslie and the rest of Glasgow. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Are you accredited?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

What happens on the day

The work is clean and fairly quiet. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes most of the day. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
  2. We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.

How to get a price

Looking after it afterwards

After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:

  • Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • Fix dripping taps quickly
  • Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
  • A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away

Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, to stop limescale building up.

If a previous coating is starting to peel, don’t pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
