Bath re-enamelling at your home in Rogiet
Re-enamelling gives a worn bath a new glossy surface without a refit. It’s the answer when the whole bath is tired rather than one spot. We are often asked to fix a roll-top that’s seen better days and an old resurfacing that’s failing, in acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and pressed steel baths.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will sort it.

How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- How hard the colour is to match
- Doing more than one item at once
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The size and number of damaged areas
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed price
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- One picture of the whole bath
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Something in shot to show the size
- Natural light rather than flash
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Rogiet
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Monmouthshire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Keeping it looking good
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Avoid suction-cup mats
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- Respect the curing time we give you
Treat the new finish gently at first: let it cure fully, then use mild cleaners only. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.
Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
Should you replace it?
When the bathroom is fine apart from the bath’s finish, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Nothing else is disturbed. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

How the visit works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for the best part of a day from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Make sure the area is dry
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
How to get a price
Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your NP26 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
Related advice
What a repair can’t fix
We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so these are the limits:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
Materials we repair
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Acrylic baths
- Basins & shower trays
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Steel frequently rusts by the plughole, so we pay close attention there.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Rogiet
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
In most cases. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Mention it when you send pictures.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.
How durable is a resurfaced bath?
A well-prepared finish lasts a long time if it’s looked after. Avoid abrasive cleaners and suction mats.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
Is there any odour?
There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.
Is there a call-out fee?
There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
