Bath Re-enamelling for Talkin homes
We travel to Talkin for full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A coloured bath you want in white
- Brown or grey marks that don’t clean off

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. This is what makes a difference:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- What kind of damage it is
- What the surface is made of
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Talkin. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Getting a price from photos
Before you send pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Details of any past repairs
- What it’s made of, if you know
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.
Bath re-enamelling at your home in Talkin
After re-enamelling, the bath has a smooth, glossy, new-looking surface, without any of the disruption of replacing it. It suits anyone happy with the bathroom apart from the bath. If you’re dealing with lots of chips and rust spots and a peeling or bubbling previous coating, we can normally put it right, on acrylic baths, pressed steel baths and Victorian roll-tops alike.
All our work comes with our one-year guarantee.

Why repair rather than replace?
A replacement frequently means several trades over several days. Re-enamelling is one technician, typically one day. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Why us?
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- Everything repaired in place
- One visit for most repairs
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited

What we are called out for in Talkin
In hard water areas, limescale and the cleaning it needs wear enamel faster, and abrasive cleaners do the most damage.
Most people contact us when they notice something like this:
- An outdated colour you’d like to change
- Chips and rust in more than one place
- Thin, worn enamel in places
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
What to look for in a quote
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- How the colour is matched
- How soon you can use it again
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
How it works
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a full day. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the next day.
Before we arrive
- Open a window if you can
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
How to get a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Get any chip repaired quickly
Wipe the bath dry after use where you can, especially in hard water areas, and rinse off any bath products.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It just wears the enamel further and makes resurfacing more work.
Honest limits
We will not take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
- A bath that’s rusted through
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
Surfaces we repair

Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we check it carefully.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
