About our bath re-enamelling in Vogue
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. We are frequently asked to fix enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough and several chips and rust patches, on acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and pressed steel baths.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Vogue
Do you charge for travel?
We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.
How long is the bath unusable?
Typically one day, with the bath ready the next day. Deeply pitted baths may need a second day.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Do you work in Vogue?
Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Vogue from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Do you need to take the bath out?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so the tiles and taps stay put.
What do you need from me?
Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.
Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Vogue
Enamel wears gradually. Abrasive cleaners, limescale and years of use wear the gloss away, starting where water runs and sits.
Look out for these signs:
- Chips and rust in more than one place
- Wear marks under the taps
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean

When we would advise against a repair
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- A bath split right through the body
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- A bath that is rusted through
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Should you replace it?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Nothing else is disturbed. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we check it carefully.
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported.
The process
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for a full day. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to look after it.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- The bath is left to cure and can normally be used the day after.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

How we price bath re-enamelling
Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many items we do on one visit
- The material and finish
- How many areas need work
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Quotes from your photos
Phone pictures are fine, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Any details about the material
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.
Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Have chips seen to early
- Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Respect the curing time we give you
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and rust spots spread under the surface. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.
Can I fix it myself?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
