How we price bath re-enamelling
Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- The material and finish
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The colour and finish to match
- How many areas need work
There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed price
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Any details about the material
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.
Bath re-enamelling in Warmley without replacing anything
The bath stays where it is, so your taps, tiles and plumbing are left alone. Most baths are done in one visit, and can be used again the day after. We regularly repair pressed steel baths, cast iron baths and basins & shower trays, and the jobs we see most are enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough and a peeling or bubbling previous coating.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re covered after the visit.

What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Repairing versus replacing in Warmley
Replacing the bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing renews the entire surface with the bath left where it is. Prices start from £350. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Warmley. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed quote based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Can I fix it myself?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

What we can’t put right
A repair isn’t right for every job, including:
- A bath that is rusted through
- A metal bath with a through crack
- Problems we can’t see until an old finish comes off
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.
What we work on
- Pressed steel baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
How to look after the repair
Looking after the surface is easy:
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
Dry the bath after use if possible, particularly with hard water, and rinse off any bath products.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It removes more of the surface.
How the visit works
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes most of the day, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the following day.
Before we arrive
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
