Bath re-enamelling in Windlesham without replacing anything
We do not move the bath, so the taps, tiles and plumbing aren’t touched. It normally takes one visit, and can be used again the following day. We regularly repair acrylic baths, pressed steel baths and Victorian roll-tops, and the jobs we see most are an outdated colour you’d like to change and a coating lifting around the plughole.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Windlesham and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

What we’re called out for in Windlesham
Frequently the bath has just had decades of use. Underneath, a cast iron or steel bath is generally as strong as ever.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- An old resurfacing that is failing
- Stains that will not shift
- Thin, worn enamel in places
- A roll-top that’s seen better days
What to look for in a quote
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- How changes to the job are handled
- Who turns up on the day
- How to care for the finish
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Windlesham. The price depends on:
- How many areas need work
- Access to the area
- The type of damage
- What the surface is made of
A repair generally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.
How to get a fixed price
Two or three clear photos are typically enough. Try to include:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and no obligation.
When a repair isn’t the answer
A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- Steel that has corroded right through
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Acrylic baths
What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Steel frequently rusts by the plughole, so we check it carefully.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.

How it works
From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a full day, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
Before we arrive
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Let us know if it has been repaired before

Related advice
Can I fix it myself?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a cast iron bath is a big job: it’s very heavy, may need breaking up, and the replacement can be costly. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
