What a repair cannot fix

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
  • A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we work on in Batch

  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel

Bath repair in Batch, done in place

Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. Exposed metal on enamelled baths soon rusts, and on acrylic, a crack keeps spreading while the bath flexes. A repair stops both. Our repair technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are chips along the edge of the bath and rust by the waste and overflow.

You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Batch

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

Different materials, different repairs

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.

Aftercare tips

It’s all simple stuff:

  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
  • Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
  • Rinse it down after each bath
  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners

Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.

Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water cannot get in. Take it off before we arrive.

Can I fix it myself?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

When to call us in Batch

Heavy toiletries are the biggest single cause of chips, closely followed by shower heads. Taps and wastes cause problems too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • Rust by the waste and overflow
  • A hole punched through by something heavy
  • A chip where the taps sit
  • A cracked acrylic bath

What your quote should include

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • What preparation is included

What affects the price in Batch

Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Batch. The price reflects:

  • How much damage there is
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What the surface is made of
  • How hard the colour is to match

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

You can take the photos on your phone. Ensure they show:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job.

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, then carry out the work, which typically takes two to three hours for most chips. If anything looks different from your pictures, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.

  1. First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

Getting a price

Upload a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your BS24 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
