Bath repair in Baybridge, done in place
You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site. Typical jobs include damage beneath the taps and deep scratches in acrylic, on acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and whirlpool & spa baths.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Have new chips seen to early
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
Don’t leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, because they can mark the enamel. And fix dripping taps promptly.
Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Every use opens the crack a little more, and it can start to leak underneath.

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: tiles along the rim normally crack when it comes out, the panel may not fit the new one, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. A repair skips all of it. Our bath repair starts from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Honest limits
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

How the visit works
Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which typically takes two to three hours for most chips. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
Before we arrive
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Let us know if it has been repaired before

Advice
For landlords and businesses
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Do you need bath repair in Baybridge?
Most bath damage comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On enamelled baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
Look out for these signs:
- Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- Impact holes in acrylic
- Rust by the waste and overflow

Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, which makes it well worth repairing.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.
