Bath repair in Cardrona Village without replacing anything
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the next day. You won’t need a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. Whether it’s a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and a chipped rim or side, we can typically put it right, on pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel alike.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

What we do, step by step
We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. Once we’re there, the work takes a few hours in most cases. The room is left tidy and you will know when it can be used.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can generally use the bath the next day.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Have a window or extractor fan available
How to get a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Advice
Common problems we fix in Cardrona Village
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: poor support underneath, so the bath flexes when it’s full.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- Deep scratches in acrylic
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Chips along the edge of the bath
Questions to ask before you book
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- When it can be used again
- If travel is included in the price
Should I try a DIY kit first?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
Repairing versus replacing in Cardrona Village
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one generally means a plumber, removing the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and disposing of the old one. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Why us?
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- Work done at your home or business
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- One-year guarantee on every repair

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. We give every job a fixed price from photos. These are the things that affect it:
- What the surface is made of
- The colour and finish to match
- What kind of damage it is
- Whether we combine several jobs
Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Send photos for a quote
Phone photos are fine. Make sure they show:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Where you are, by postcode
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Natural light rather than flash
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
When a repair is not the answer
We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

What do you need from me?
Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Typically, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a photo.
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
How long before I can use the bath?
Normally the day after. We confirm the time before we leave.
