Bath repair in Coed-Llai, done in place

Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can usually bathe again the following day. You won’t need a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. Common call-outs are for a chip where the taps sit and a kit repair that didn’t last, in roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Repairing versus replacing in Coed-Llai

For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and nothing else in the room changes. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why us?

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • No need to remove anything
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

Work for landlords and builders

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Keeping it looking good

Looking after the surface is easy:

  • Have new chips seen to early
  • A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
  • Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted

Look after the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.

Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water can’t get in. Remove it before the repair.

What a repair cannot fix

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
  • Metal that has corroded all the way through

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

What we work on

  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Pressed steel enamel

The process

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. It normally takes two to three hours for most chips, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

Getting ready for the visit

Repairs by material

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
