About our bath repair in Deepdale
Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a repair that’s smooth, sound and hard to spot. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. If you’re dealing with chips on the rim or sides and a hole punched through by something heavy, we can normally put it right.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Landlord and trade work in Deepdale
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
How it works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Preparing for the visit

What affects the price in Deepdale
Repairs from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- The material
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Access to the area
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Send pictures for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Something in shot to show the size
Send us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you are in Deepdale, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

What we cannot put right
We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Materials we work on in Deepdale
- Pressed steel enamel
- Cast iron enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Roll-top & freestanding
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
What else we do in Deepdale
Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Do not leave a fresh chip for long
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.
