About our bath repair in Easington
Bath repair is our most common job. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all repaired in place, generally in a single visit. We’re frequently asked to fix scratches you can feel with a fingernail and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting, on pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

The process
We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a few hours. The room is left tidy and you will know when it can be used.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. With a repair, it’s one visit and one price. Prices start from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

How to look after the repair
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and avoid dropping heavy items on the repaired area. Deal with new chips early, before rust sets in.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
Can I fix it myself?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The colour and finish to match
- The material
- How much damage there is
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
