Bath repair at your home in East End
Bath repair is our most common job. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. We’re often asked to fix damage beneath the taps and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose, across roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and whirlpool & spa baths.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Repairing versus replacing in East End
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. If the entire surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Our bath repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why East End customers choose us

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.
For landlords and businesses
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in East End use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.
How to care for the repair
Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water cannot get in. Remove it before the repair.
How it works
Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a morning or an afternoon. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the following day.
Before we arrive
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Clear the area around the damage
- Ensure the area is dry

Advice
East End: your questions answered
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Can you redo an old repair?
Regularly. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.
Do you cover East End?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to East End for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, if there’s access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.
Do the materials smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.
Will the repair show?
On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.

What we cannot put right
We will not take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
What we work on
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel

Common problems we fix in East End
Damage during fitting is very common. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The colour and finish to match
- The size and number of damaged areas
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Quotes from your photos
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A picture taken from further back
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
