Bath Repair for Haine homes
We travel to Haine for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- A failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting

Aftercare tips
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Rinse it down after each bath
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
Do not leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, as they can leave rust marks. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
How we handle bath repair in Haine
A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, mixing the colour on the day. We work on whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are chips caused by builders and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee in Haine and across Kent.

What we’re called out for in Haine
Damage during fitting is very common. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A chip where the taps sit
- Deep scratches in acrylic

- How changes to the job are handled
- How long it needs to cure
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
What we can’t put right
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.

Haine: your questions answered
Is there a call-out fee?
We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including pastel and older colours.
How invisible is a bath repair?
On a glossy bath, you will struggle to find it. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can pets and children be at home?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Work for landlords and builders
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Haine use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to Haine. The price comes down to:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How many items we do on one visit
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Getting a price from pictures
You can typically get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- Something in shot to show the size
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Where you are, by postcode
If you’re in Haine and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
How the visit works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a morning or an afternoon. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Let us know about parking or access
- Point us to the nearest place to park
Getting a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Related advice
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
