Bath repair at your home in Inverkeithing
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath. You can generally use the bath the day after. We work on cast iron enamel, acrylic and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people contact us are chips caused by builders and chips along the edge of the bath.
You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

What we cannot put right
We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- A steel bath rusted through
- Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
What we work on
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Pressed steel enamel
- Acrylic
- Cast iron enamel
Repairing versus replacing in Inverkeithing
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
What you get with us

What affects the price in Inverkeithing
Repairs from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How hard the colour is to match
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Access to the area
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Getting a price from pictures
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The material, if you know it
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
When to call us in Inverkeithing
The usual cause is something heavy dropped into the bath, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: the bath is not properly supported, so it flexes under weight.
Clients usually contact us about:
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Holes from dropped items
- A chip where the taps sit

Questions from Inverkeithing
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
How quickly can you book me in?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
Is a bath repair permanent?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Will there be a smell?
There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.
Will the repair show?
On a glossy bath, you will struggle to find it. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Typically. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
What do you need from me?
Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.
How to look after the repair
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.
How the visit works
When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job generally takes a few hours, depending on the damage. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can normally use the bath the next day.
Before we arrive
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
Getting a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
