Bath repair for Kinloch homes

Bath repair in Kinloch, done in place

Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. On steel and cast iron, exposed metal starts to rust, while cracks in acrylic grow each time the bath moves. Repairing it stops the damage getting worse. Common call-outs are for rust by the waste and overflow and deep scratches in acrylic, in roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and whirlpool & spa baths.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How much damage there is
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The colour and finish to match

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Getting a price from pictures

You can usually get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The material, if you know it
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Kinloch questions

How long before I can use the bath?

Generally the next day. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.

Do you work in Kinloch?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Kinloch and the rest of Perth and Kinross. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Frequently, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a photo.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Can rust on a bath be repaired?

Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Looking after it afterwards

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:

  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
  • Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
  • Give the bath a quick rinse after use
  • Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot

There is nothing special to do after a repair, just sensible cleaning. Skip bleach and gritty creams and rinse after use.

Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water can’t get in. Take it off before we arrive.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

The process

Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Before we arrive

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Different materials, different repairs

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.

Acrylic

Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

When a repair is not the answer

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • A steel bath rusted through
  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
  • A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. A repair skips all of it. Prices start from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.
