Damaged bath in Lisbon? We put it right where it is, match it on site and back it with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Deep scratches in acrylic

Landlord and trade work in Lisbon
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Bath repair in Lisbon, done in place
Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. Whether it’s cracks in an acrylic bath and a chipped rim or side, we can help, whatever the material.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Signs you need bath repair in Lisbon
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: poor support underneath, so the bath flexes when it’s full.
You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- A chipped rim or side

How to look after the repair
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Get any new chip seen to quickly, before rust sets in.
Small chips are quick to repair. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so early repair saves time and money.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
What a repair cannot fix
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Questions from Lisbon
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Will the repair last?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It carries our one-year guarantee.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
In most cases. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
How do I book?
Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes, we do this often. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.
How the visit works
Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a morning or an afternoon from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to look after it.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- Once it has cured, usually by the day after, the bath is ready to use.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.
Advice
What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Repair or replace: which is better?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. Where the whole surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.
