Bath repair in Newmains without replacing anything
Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. On steel and cast iron, exposed metal starts to rust, and on acrylic, a crack keeps spreading while the bath flexes. Repairing it stops the damage getting worse. Our repair technicians work on cast iron enamel, acrylic and pressed steel enamel, and the jobs we see most are scratches you can feel with a fingernail and snagging damage from a refit.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Should you replace it?
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and the bathroom stays as it is. Where the whole surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Prices start from £95. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Newmains. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why book with us
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- Generally one visit, start to finish

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so repair chips early.
What we cannot put right
A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- A steel bath rusted through
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
What we do, step by step
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- We leave it to cure; you can normally use the bath the next day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Newmains: your questions answered
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Newmains.
Do I need to be at home?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.
When can I have a bath again?
Usually within a day, though it depends on what we’ve done.
How do I get a price for bath repair in Newmains?
Prices start from £95. We give a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your ML2 postcode.
Is it messy?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including pastel and older colours.
Is a bath repair durable?
Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and it’s guaranteed for a year. Gentle cleaning helps it last.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. If photos don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- What the surface is made of
- How much damage there is
- The colour and finish to match
- Doing more than one item at once
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Quotes from your photos
You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Where you are, by postcode
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.
Signs you need bath repair in Newmains
Baths take more knocks than people expect: bottles, shower heads and razors are dropped every day, and taps and wastes are tightened against the surface. Sooner or later, most baths pick up a chip.
People typically call us when they notice something like this:
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- A chip where the taps sit
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- A chipped rim or side
Questions to ask before booking
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- What protection goes down before work starts
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
- How soon you can use it again
For landlords and businesses
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
