About our bath repair in Peel
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and the bath is back in use the following day. You will not need a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. We’re frequently asked to fix scratches you can feel with a fingernail and a cracked acrylic bath, in roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and whirlpool & spa baths.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Peel questions
Will there be a smell?
There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Can pets and children be at home?
Just keep them out of the work area. We will tell you when the room can be used again.
How do I get a price for bath repair in Peel?
Prices start from £95. We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your FY4 postcode.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Generally. Send us a picture of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
How long before I can use the bath?
Typically the following day. We confirm the time before we leave.
How invisible is a bath repair?
On a glossy bath, you’ll struggle to find it. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
What information do you need?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.
What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Exposed steel rusts fast, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.
The process
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes two to three hours for most chips. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Open a window if you can

When we would advise against a repair
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Peel. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Getting a price from photos
Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- Details of any past repairs
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- The material, if you know it
- Something in shot to show the size
For a price in Peel, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Peel
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair fixes just the damaged area in one visit. Prices start from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.
Why us?
- Colour-matched on site
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Fixed prices from your photos
See our prices page and bath cost comparison.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Aftercare tips
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Get any new chip seen to quickly, before rust sets in.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
