About our bath repair in Queensferry
It pays to repair bath damage while it’s small. On steel and cast iron, exposed metal starts to rust, while cracks in acrylic grow each time the bath moves. A repair stops both. Typical jobs include scratches you can feel with a fingernail and rust by the waste and overflow, across acrylic, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
Repair or replace: which is better?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Prices start from £95. Compared with replacing, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:
- Access to the area
- Doing more than one item at once
- How hard the colour is to match
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Getting a price from photos
Phone pictures are fine. Ensure they show:
- One picture of the entire bath
- Details of any past repairs
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
What a repair can’t fix
We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
Landlord and trade work in Queensferry
For anyone letting property in or around Queensferry, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we will come back with a combined price.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

What else we do in Queensferry
What we do, step by step
The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes two to three hours for most chips. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know about parking or access
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
Ask for a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.
Advice
Looking after it afterwards
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
A repaired bath needs no special treatment. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners and rinse after use.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
Queensferry: your questions answered
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
What areas do you cover?
We work UK-wide. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Often, if there is access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Is there any odour?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there’s more, we will tell you before starting.
