For landlords and businesses
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit.
About our bath repair in Reddish
Repairing baths is what we do most. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all repaired in place, generally in a single visit. Our technicians work on pressed steel enamel, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and the jobs we see most are damage beneath the taps and a kit repair that didn’t last.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee in Reddish and across Stockport.

How it works
We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you’re not left guessing. On site, it takes a few hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean and you’ll know when it can be used.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the next day.
How to prepare
- Open a window if you can
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know about parking or access

Advice
Repairs by material
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Can I fix it myself?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
Reddish questions
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
What areas do you cover?
The whole UK, including all of Stockport. Send your postcode with your photos and we’ll offer you dates.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.
How soon can you come?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
How long does the repair take to cure?
Most baths can be used the next day. We confirm the time before we leave.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes, very frequently. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

When a repair is not the answer
Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Should you replace it?
People often assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. In most cases it doesn’t: a proper repair gives it years more use, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. Looking after it afterwards
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and avoid dropping heavy items on the repaired area. Deal with new chips early, before rust sets in.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so early repair keeps the cost down.
