About our bath repair in Waun-deg
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. Most baths can be used again the day after. Typical jobs include chips along the edge of the bath and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting, on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

Waun-deg questions
When can I have a bath again?
Normally by the following day, though it depends on what we’ve done.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
In most cases. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Is a bath repair permanent?
Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Is there any odour?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: taking out the old one, plumbing, tiling, a panel and redecorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Prices start from £95. Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
What you get with us
- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- One price list for the whole UK
- Everything repaired in place
Read our prices page and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Rinse it down after each bath
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Landlord and trade work in Waun-deg
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
For anyone letting property in or around Waun-deg, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
- The material and finish
A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.
Send photos for a quote
Phone photos are fine, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Details of any past repairs
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- A picture taken from further back
Most clients in Waun-deg get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Honest limits
A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:
- A steel bath rusted through
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
What we work on
- Pressed steel enamel
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel

How it works
We turn up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage, and we leave the room as we found it.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
