Bath resealing at your home in Great Strickland
We cut out all of the old sealant, deal with any mould, and reseal with new mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. We are frequently asked to fix unsealed corners and sealant that’s split or lifting, on wet rooms, baths and kitchen worktops & sinks.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking.

What we do, step by step
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. It normally takes a couple of hours.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
- New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, including around the taps.
Getting ready for the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
Ask for a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

What bath resealing costs
There is no charge for travel to Great Strickland. The price depends on:
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How many items we do on one visit
- How easy the damage is to reach
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Great Strickland. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Send pictures for a quote
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A picture taken from further back
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll say straight away if a repair is the right fix.
Honest limits
It helps to know what we can’t do too:
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- Hidden water damage
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
How to care for the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, usually around 24 hours.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
Why it’s worth resealing in Great Strickland
Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.
