Need bath resealing in London Apprentice?

What bath resealing costs

We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How easy the damage is to reach

Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any details about the material

Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you are in London Apprentice, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

Bath resealing at your home in London Apprentice

We reseal baths, shower trays, basins and worktops using mould-resistant silicone. A typical reseal takes a couple of hours, plus curing time. Our technicians work on baths, shower trays & enclosures and wet rooms, and the jobs we see most are water getting behind the bath or tray and discoloured, yellow sealant.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in London Apprentice and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work.

How to look after the repair

So the finish stays in good condition for years:

  • Air the room after use
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Replace the seal when mould sets in

Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing to keep mould away.

If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

How to compare quotes

How it works

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you’re not left guessing. On site, it takes about two hours for a bath in most cases. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
  2. Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
  3. The joint is dried thoroughly.
  4. Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
  5. We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, including around the taps.

Before we arrive

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Ensure the area is dry

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Why it’s worth resealing in London Apprentice

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and mould stays trapped behind it. A proper reseal removes the old first. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

What you get with us

  • Same prices wherever you are
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

London Apprentice questions

Why does mould come back so fast?

Normally poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. Mould-resistant silicone and good ventilation help.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

How much does bath resealing cost in London Apprentice?

Because every job differs, we price from photos. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

How long does a reseal take?

Usually a couple of hours, then it needs to cure.

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, so the joint is at its widest.

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
