Bath resealing near Nineveh

Bath resealing in Nineveh without replacing anything

Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and resealing puts a stop to that. We work on wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and kitchen worktops & sinks, and common reasons people contact us are silicone coming away from the tiles and water getting behind the bath or tray.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Shower trays

Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.

Nineveh: your questions answered

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.

When can you do it?

We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Can new silicone go over old?

We always remove the old sealant completely. New silicone won’t bond to old.

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, Nineveh included. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

What we do, step by step

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow around two hours from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

How to get a price

Looking after it afterwards

Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:

  • Air the room after use
  • Ventilate the bathroom well
  • Keep the joints dry
  • Store bottles on a shelf

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.

What affects the price in Nineveh

We charge the same across the UK, including Nineveh. What changes the price is:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The material
  • Access to the area
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

Send us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your WR15 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Why it’s worth resealing in Nineveh

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s quick, tidy and protects your home. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
