How we handle bath resealing in North Camp
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint opens fully, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. Common call-outs are for water getting behind the bath or tray and gaps in the seal, on shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & sinks.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

What we’re called out for in North Camp
Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the silicone, so cleaning can’t get it all out.

- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- An untidy old seal

Other services in North Camp
For landlords and businesses
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Looking after it afterwards
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Use the extractor fan
Keep the room well ventilated, and wipe the joints after use so mould struggles to take hold.
Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
Repairs by material
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.
Why reseal now?
Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Why book with us

Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Honest limits
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- A flexing bath
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
