Bath resealing in Ossemsley without replacing anything

A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they keep water out. Typical jobs include stained silicone and black mould in the sealant, in shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and basins & vanity units.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Hampshire.

Aftercare tips

Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:

  • Wipe the joints dry after use
  • Ventilate the bathroom well
  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Let steam out after showers

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Ossemsley

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Ossemsley as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

What bath resealing costs

We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The material
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Send photos for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

What we work on

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Baths
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Wet rooms

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand. Once we’re there, the work takes around two hours in most cases. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
