Bath resealing near Parham

How we price bath resealing

There is no area surcharge for Parham. What changes the price is:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The type of damage
  • The material
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Compared with replacing, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures through our quote form or call us. We will say immediately whether it can be repaired.

How we handle bath resealing in Parham

We cut out all of the old sealant, deal with any mould, and reseal with new mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. Whether it’s black mould in the sealant and silicone smeared on tiles, we can help, whatever the material.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Why it’s worth resealing in Parham

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and mould stays trapped behind it. We remove the old sealant completely. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why us?

  • Everything repaired in place
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

Keeping it looking good

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Keep bottles off the joints
  • Wipe the joints dry after use
  • Ventilate the bathroom well
  • Give the seal a regular clean

Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and do not stand bottles on the seal.

If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

When to call us in Parham

Sealant does not last forever. Every bath or shower adds moisture and soap residue, which mould loves, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.

The things clients usually mention when they call are:

  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles
  • An untidy old seal
  • Black mould in the sealant

Questions to ask before you book

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • What preparation is included
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • How your room will be protected

How to compare quotes

How the visit works

The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the work takes around two hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

How to prepare

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Clear the area around the damage

Ask for a price

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Common questions in Parham

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

What do you need from me?

Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

When can you do it?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
