Bath re-enamelling in Parham without replacing anything
Most baths are re-enamelled in a day, with the bath ready to use the following day. Taps, tiles, panels and plumbing all stay in place. If you’re dealing with a coating lifting around the plughole and staining under the taps and around the waste, we can help, on acrylic baths, cast iron baths and pressed steel baths alike.
Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Different materials, different repairs
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs immediately
- Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, do not use suction bath mats, and don’t leave bottles or razors standing on the surface.
Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and any rust spreads underneath. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.
What else we do in Parham
How the visit works
Visits start with a quick look at the job together. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes a full day.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
Ask for a price
Most customers in Parham get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Advice
Repair or replace in Parham?
A replacement often means several trades over several days. Re-enamelling is one technician, typically one day. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Parham questions
How much does bath re-enamelling cost in Parham?
Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item with your IP13 postcode.
Will there be fumes?
Yes, while we are applying the finish. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.
Do you cover the entire of Suffolk?
The whole UK, including all of Suffolk. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Will the new finish last?
That depends on preparation and how the bath is treated. Properly prepared and looked after, it lasts well, and it’s guaranteed for a year.
When can you do it?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
Can you price it without visiting?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.
What we are called out for in Parham
The gloss on enamel is thin, and every scrub with an abrasive cleaner takes a little away. Eventually the surface turns porous and stains.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- A roll-top that’s seen better days
- An outdated colour you’d like to change
- A coating lifting around the plughole
- Staining under the taps and around the waste
What to look for in a quote
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- How the colour is matched
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
