Need bath resealing in Pleck?

Bath resealing in Pleck, done in place

All of the old sealant is cut out, deal with any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. We work on baths, kitchen worktops & sinks and wet rooms, and common reasons people get in touch are an untidy old seal and discoloured, yellow sealant.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Do you need bath resealing in Pleck?

Joints split if the bath or tray moves, frequently because it was sealed while the bath was empty.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • Black spots in the silicone
  • Stained silicone
  • Gaps in the seal

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.

For landlords and businesses

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details and we’ll handle the rest.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Walsall and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

What we can’t put right

A repair is not right for every job, including:

  • Hollow or loose tiles
  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
  • Hidden water damage

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Baths
  • Wet rooms
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Shower trays & enclosures

How the visit works

We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. Allow around two hours, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.

  1. We cut out all of the old sealant.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.

How to prepare

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Advice

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Why reseal now?

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing

What affects the price in Pleck

Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How much damage there is
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Doing more than one item at once

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

How to get a fixed quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower

To get a price, send a couple of photos using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Pleck questions

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we frequently do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

What happens after I send photos?

You will get a fixed quote back, normally with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

How do I book?

Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Why does my sealant keep going mouldy?

Generally poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. Mould-resistant silicone and good ventilation help.

How long does a reseal take?

Usually a couple of hours, then it needs to cure.
