Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Runham, Norfolk
Bath resealing in and around Runham: a fixed quote from pictures, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- A messy previous reseal
- Gaps in the seal
- Black mould in the sealant

How we handle bath resealing in Runham
Baths, trays, basins and kitchen worktops all get resealed, with mould-resistant sanitary silicone. Most jobs take a couple of hours, then it needs to cure. We regularly repair kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and wet rooms, and the jobs we see most are mould you can’t clean out and gaps in the seal.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
What affects the price in Runham
We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- How many areas need work
- How many items we do on one visit
- The material
- How hard the colour is to match
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed price
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A picture taken from further back
- The material, if you know it
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
Send us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your NR29 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Questions from Runham
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.
Can you quote from photos?
Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
How soon can you come?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
What areas do you cover?
All of Norfolk, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
When a repair isn’t the answer
We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so these are the limits:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
What we work on
- Baths
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Basins & vanity units
Common problems we fix in Runham
Sealant splits when the bath or tray moves, frequently because it was sealed with the bath empty.
You may need us if you’ve spotted:
- An untidy old seal
- Gaps in the seal
- Missing sealant behind the taps
- Stained silicone

Is resealing worth it?
A professional reseal costs little compared with water damage. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

The process
We begin by going over the job with you. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. It normally takes around two hours, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- We fill a bath with water before sealing so the gap is at its widest.
- New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, taps included.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Open a window if you can
