Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Starr Gate, Blackpool
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone for homes and businesses in Starr Gate and across Blackpool. Send photos for a free, fixed quote.
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- An untidy old seal
- Mould you can’t clean out

Why reseal now?
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.
Why book with us
- We leave the room as we found it
- No extra charge for your area
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Most jobs done in one visit

Bath resealing at your home in Starr Gate
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint opens fully, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. If you’re dealing with sealant that’s split or lifting and a messy previous reseal, we can help, on kitchen worktops & sinks, baths and basins & vanity units alike.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it.

What we do, step by step
When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job generally takes about two hours for a bath. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- We ensure the joint is completely dry.
- We fill a bath with water before sealing so the gap is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, taps included.

How to get a price

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
Keeping it looking good
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Keep the joints dry
- Use the extractor fan
- Let steam out after showers
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, normally about a day.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
Landlord and trade work in Starr Gate
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
What we are called out for in Starr Gate
No sealant lasts for ever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould feeds on, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- Black mould in the sealant
- Unsealed corners
- Leaks at the edges
