Your questions about bath resealing in Sutton Maddock
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Can you quote from pictures?
Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.
How soon can you come?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Will there be a smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.
Bath resealing in Sutton Maddock without replacing anything
A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. Fresh sealant does not stick to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. Whether it’s unsealed corners and mould you can’t clean out, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

What we cannot put right
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- Hollow or loose tiles
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
Materials we repair
- Baths
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Wet rooms
What bath resealing costs
Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- The material
- The colour and finish to match
- How many items we do on one visit
- What kind of damage it is
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Quotes from your photos
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
- One picture of the whole bath or shower
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.
For landlords and businesses
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Is resealing worth it?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

How the visit works
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to around two hours, including clearing up.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Before we arrive
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Make sure the room can be ventilated

Different materials, different repairs
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
Looking after it afterwards
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Open a window after bathing
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
Run the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
