Resealing in The Triangle: why it matters
Resealing costs very little. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.

Bath resealing in The Triangle, done in place
A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. New silicone will not bond to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. Common call-outs are for unsealed corners and leaks at the edges, across basins & vanity units, baths and wet rooms.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

What affects the price in The Triangle
Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The size and number of damaged areas
- What the surface is made of
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.
Quotes from your pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Something in shot to show the size
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Common problems we fix in The Triangle
Joints split if the bath or tray moves, frequently because it was sealed with the bath empty.
Most people contact us after spotting one of these:
- Leaks at the edges
- Unsealed corners
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- A messy previous reseal

For landlords and businesses
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in The Triangle as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
How to care for the repair
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing.
Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
The Triangle questions
Do the materials smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
How long will it take?
A bath or shower typically takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.
What happens if you find more damage?
Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
What information do you need?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
What happens next?
You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
You will get the curing time from us, generally around a day.
What we cannot put right
It helps to know what we cannot do:
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- A flexing bath
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Wet rooms
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
How it works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take around two hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.
Preparing for the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Make sure the area is dry
Get a quote
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
