Coloured bath resurfacing for Foxton homes

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Foxton

A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Foxton and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Foxton questions

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Do you come to Foxton?

We do. We send a technician to Foxton for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

What happens if you find more damage?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. If there’s more, we will tell you before starting.

What do you need from me?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

When to call us in Foxton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

The things customers typically mention when they call include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether the price covers travel
  • How long it needs to cure
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • Who turns up on the day

Our hiring checklist

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why Foxton clients choose us

  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • We leave the room as we found it

Take a look at our prices page and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What we do, step by step

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Work for landlords and builders

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Foxton use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. You will know the full cost before you book. We take into account:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How much damage there is
  • Whether we combine several jobs

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Any details about the material
  • A wider photo showing the entire suite

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
