Need non-slip bath coating in Greenigoe?

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Non-slip bath coating in Greenigoe without replacing anything

The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Our technicians work on shower trays, acrylic baths and wet room floors (ask us), and the jobs we see most are safety for older or less mobile people and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What we’re called out for in Greenigoe

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, yet with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

People usually call us after spotting something like this:

  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet

How to compare quotes

When a repair isn’t the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we work on in Greenigoe

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths

How we price non-slip bath coating

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The material and finish
  • How many areas need work
  • Access to the area
  • The type of damage

We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed quote

You can take the pictures on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower tray
  • The material, if you know it

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

Should you replace it?

The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

The process

Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a morning or an afternoon, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, usually overnight.

How to prepare

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Advice

Landlords, agents and businesses in Greenigoe

Questions from Greenigoe

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Greenigoe.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.

What areas do you cover?

Across the UK, so Greenigoe is covered. Prices do not change with location.

Is there any odour?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?

Yes. Use a soft brush and a mild cleaner.
