Non-slip bath coating in Newcastle without replacing anything
It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It suits older people, families and holiday lets. Whether it’s a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and safety for older or less mobile people, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.
Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

How it works
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
- The area to be treated is masked out.
- We apply the clear textured coating.
- We lift the masking for a clean edge.
- The coating is left to cure before use, generally overnight.
How to prepare
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Clear the area around the damage
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

When we would advise against a repair
A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Resurfaced baths
- Enamelled baths
- Wet room floors (ask us)

- Acrylic baths
Questions from Newcastle
Do you charge for travel?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Do you work in Newcastle?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Newcastle. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
How soon can you come?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Will I see the coating?
Very little: it shows as a matt area where you stand.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Repair or replace: which is better?
The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Newcastle. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How we price non-slip bath coating
You will know the full cost before booking. We take into account:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- What kind of damage it is
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed quote
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The material, if you know it
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Do you need non-slip bath coating in Newcastle?
Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
Common reasons people in Newcastle contact us include:
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- Worn-out textured areas
What to look for in a quote
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- How to care for the finish
- What protection goes down before work starts
- Who turns up on the day
For landlords and businesses
Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Newcastle use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it usually costs far less than a refit.
