- Worn-out textured areas

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Old Drumchapel
The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. We’re often asked to fix a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten, on shower trays, resurfaced baths and enamelled baths.
You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What we cannot put right
A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
What we work on
- Wet room floors (ask us)
- Shower trays
- Enamelled baths
- Resurfaced baths
- Acrylic baths
Can I fix it myself?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
Work for landlords and builders
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Should you replace it?
The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book.

The process
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
- Next we mask off the area.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- We remove the masking for a neat edge.
- The coating is left to cure before use, normally overnight.
Getting ready for the visit
- Open a window if you can
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

Old Drumchapel: your questions answered
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
Is there any odour?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It clears as the materials cure.
Will I see the coating?
Only slightly: the treated area looks slightly matt.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
What information do you need?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.
Do you need non-slip bath coating in Old Drumchapel?
Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Worn-out textured areas
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
What your quote should include
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- How long it needs to cure
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
What non-slip bath coating costs
We give every job a fixed price from pictures. This is what makes a difference:
- How many items we do on one visit
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.
How to get a fixed price
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Natural light rather than flash
- Details of any past repairs
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
Upload photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your G15 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
