Non-slip bath coating in Washington without replacing anything
It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. Our repair technicians work on wet room floors (ask us), shower trays and resurfaced baths, and the jobs we see most are safety for older or less mobile people and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Sunderland. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Washington: your questions answered
What happens if you find more damage?
We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
What information do you need?
Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Normally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send pictures.
What does non-slip bath coating cost?
We give a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item and your postcode.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Is there any odour?
There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
Is my repair covered?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.
The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- We clean and degrease the standing area.
- The area to be treated is masked out.
- The clear textured coating is applied.
- The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
- The coating is left to cure before use, usually overnight.
Before we arrive
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Keep a parking space free if you can
How to get a price

What non-slip bath coating costs
There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- How many areas need work
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The colour and finish to match
- How easy the damage is to reach
The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Send pictures for a quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.
What else we do in Washington
Why repair rather than replace?
Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. Compared with replacing, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Why us?
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- A fixed quote before booking
- One visit for most repairs
- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Do you need non-slip bath coating in Washington?
Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.
People usually call us after spotting one of these:
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
Comparing quotes
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- Aftercare advice
- How changes to the job are handled
Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
