Our bath repair service in IP24
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. You can usually use the bath the following day. We’re often asked to fix an old repair that has yellowed or come loose and snagging damage from a refit, in pressed steel enamel, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding.
On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job usually takes two to three hours for most chips. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, usually by the next day, the bath is ready to use.
What you’ll pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for IP24. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
What you get with us
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Generally one visit, start to finish
- Fixed prices from your pictures
- We leave the room as we found it

Should I try a DIY kit first?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
How the damage happens
The usual cause is something heavy dropped into the bath, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: the bath isn’t properly supported, so it flexes under weight.
Contact us if you’ve noticed any of these:
- A chip where the taps sit
- Impact holes in acrylic
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Rusty patches near the plughole
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Honest limits
A repair isn’t right for every job, including:
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
Work for landlords and builders
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details and we’ll handle the rest.
For anyone letting property in or around IP24, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.
Common questions in IP24
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Do you cover IP24?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to IP24 and the rest of Norfolk. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
Will the repair last?
A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps.
