Need shower tray repair in Rahane?

What your shower tray is made of matters

Acrylic

Acrylic-capped trays are lighter, so good support matters. We repair cracks and scratches.

Enamelled steel

Steel trays have an enamel surface like a steel bath. Chips can rust if they’re left, so it’s worth repairing early.

Shower tray repair in Rahane, done in place

We repair cracks, chips and scratches in stone resin, acrylic and ceramic trays, and worn trays can be resurfaced completely. Nothing is taken out, so the enclosure and tiles aren’t disturbed. Our technicians work on stone resin, acrylic and ceramic, and people most often call us about chipped corners or rims and chips caused during fitting.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

Common questions in Rahane

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, Rahane included. There is no extra charge for travel.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Will there be a smell?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Can you make an old tray look new?

Yes, it’s a common job. A full resurface makes a tired tray look fresh.

For landlords and businesses

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Rahane use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it usually costs far less than a refit.

If you manage property in Rahane, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.

What affects the price in Rahane

Prices start from £95. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We take into account:

  • How many areas need work
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

Send pictures for a quote

Phone pictures are fine. Just make sure we can see:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire shower tray, we can price the job without visiting.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • A tray that moves underfoot
  • Leaking waste fittings
  • Damage below the tray that needs a builder

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Cast iron
  • Stone resin
  • Enamelled steel
  • Acrylic
  • Ceramic

Repair or replace: which is better?

When the tray is firm and dry underneath, repair is the obvious choice. If water has damaged the floor, or the tray is cracked in several places, a new tray may be better. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

Why book with us

  • Normally one visit, start to finish
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

See our prices page.

How to care for the repair

Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:

  • Use the extractor fan
  • Rinse the tray after each shower
  • Do not use strong acids or bleach
  • Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner

Rinse the tray after use, clean with mild cleaners, and keep an eye on the sealant so water can’t get underneath.

Stop using the shower if the tray is cracked. Water may be getting under the tray, and the damage below is not visible.

What we do, step by step

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to a few hours for a repair, longer for a full resurface.

  1. First we check the tray is solid and work out why any crack happened.
  2. The damaged area, or the whole tray, is cleaned and prepared.
  3. We fill and reinforce chips and cracks, then sand them flush.
  4. We colour-match the repair, or spray a new finish across the entire tray.
  5. We leave it to cure; the shower is normally usable the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Ask for a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
