How to compare quotes

Tile repair at your home in Blackpool

We repair the tile in place, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We regularly repair natural stone & granite, marble and ceramic tiles, and people most frequently call us about chips from dropped pans and tools and discontinued tiles you can’t replace.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

For landlords and businesses

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details.

How the visit works

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a morning or an afternoon. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Blackpool: your questions answered

Can you repair a cracked floor tile without replacing it?

Generally, if it is not loose.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We review the photos and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Blackpool.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

What does tile repair cost?

Prices start from £95. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You’ll get a fixed figure before booking.

How we price tile repair

Repairs from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • What the surface is made of
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many areas need work

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. A repair keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

What you get with us

When a repair isn’t the answer

We won’t take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Ceramic tiles
  • Marble
  • Natural stone & granite
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Porcelain tiles

DIY kit or professional repair?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
