Bath repair at your home in FY1
Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. Exposed metal on enamelled baths soon rusts, while cracks in acrylic grow each time the bath moves. A repair stops both. We regularly repair acrylic, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding, and people most often call us about scuffs and scratches in the surface and snagging damage from a refit.
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- We leave it to cure; you can typically use the bath the following day.
What it costs in FY1
Our bath repair starts from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
What you get with us
- No extra charge for your area
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- One visit for most repairs

Near you in North Shore
In North Shore, that means homes near St Thomas' Church, St Paul's Worship Centre and Holy Family Catholic Primary School. Other local landmarks include Devonshire Primary Academy (1 mile south-east) and Devonshire Road Rock Gardens (1.3 miles north-east). The nearest railway station is Blackpool North station, about 0.8 miles south-east. Further afield, we also cover the area around Houndshill Shopping Centre (1.2 miles south) and Blackpool Victoria Hospital (1.8 miles south-east). Open spaces near North Shore include Marton Mere.
Landlord and trade work in FY1
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in FY1 as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
DIY kit or professional repair?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
Keeping it looking good
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Have new chips seen to early
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine.
A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
What affects the price in FY1
Prices start from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- What the surface is made of
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many areas need work
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- What it’s made of, if you know
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
What we’re called out for in FY1
Baths take more knocks than people expect: bottles, shower heads and razors are dropped every day, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Sooner or later, most baths pick up a chip.
Look out for any of the following:
- Snagging damage from a refit
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- A cracked acrylic bath
